The AWFA requests nominations for the 2012 Disciplinary Administrators (DA) x 2 and Board (DB) x 5.  If you are interested in being considered for either of these positions please reply to this email by 20th December 2011. 

 Attached are extracts from the AWFA Regulations as to some of the duties/procedures for the DA & DB. The 2 DA meet on Thursday nights (during the AWFA season) as required to review Caution reports (Yellow Cards) and Send Off reports (Red Cards) as well as any Incident Reports referred to them by the AWFA Executive. The DB deliberates over appeals against any DA decisions on an as needs basis.

EXTRACT FROM AWFA rEGULATION ON DISCIPLINARY PROCESS8.1

AWFA shall appoint two Disciplinary Administrators (DA‘s) prior to the commencement of each playing season. Either or both of the DA‘s will review send off and caution reports (submitted within the required timeframe)each week. They shall have the power to decide what action, if any (based upon the framework contained within this Section) is to be taken against each and every player who was sent from the field or had to be cautioned by the Referee..

8.2There shall also be a Disciplinary Board (DB) of at least 5 persons. This shall include the two DA‘s (appointed by the MC) and three (or more) other board members (appointed by the Exec). Three Disciplinary Board members (of which one must be a DA) at any meeting shall be deemed to be a quorum.  8.7The M.C. may remove persons from or add persons as DA‘s or to the Disciplinary Board throughout the season.
8.8A DA or member of the Disciplinary Board: i    Must be a person of good standing in the community and in the Soccer Fraternity in general. ii    Must not currently be a paid servant of AWFA

iii   Members of the Board shall not discuss proceedings of board meetings outside of the Board.

 8.9The DA‘s and the Disciplinary Board shall have the power to suspend any player found guilty under the laws of football. The Disciplinary Board only may hear charges based on incident reports and make recommendations to the MC /Exec where appropriate.  8.13The DA‘s and Disciplinary Board shall maintain a Disciplinary file which shall contain case histories of all players who have had cases reviewed by the DA‘s or appeared before the Disciplinary Board (or have been liable to appear before the Disciplinary Board) and this file shall contain records of all cautions received and penalties imposed to players in games under the jurisdiction of AWFA
